Paul Jewell has already drawn up a list of players he wants to bolster his Bradford City side ahead of their second season in the Premier-ship.

The City boss began planning before the end of the season and he admits that two lists were drawn up before the club's fate was decided.

However with the Bantams ensuring their survival with the 1-0 victory over Liverpool it means Jewell can now start the chase for his intended targets.

He said: "We have had two lists of players we were interested in for quite a while depending on which division we would be in. And I am delighted that I can now toss one of them in the bin".

Jewell is determined to keep his intended targets a closely guarded secret and stresses that everyone must be patient.

The City boss said: "To be honest, the transfer market has changed a lot over the years and is struggling a little at the moment.

"It is unlikely there will be any immediate activity but the past two seasons have shown how important it is to be patient in the transfer market.

"Last summer we bought Dean Saunders in the week before the season started while the previous year we didn't sign Lee Mills until the day before the first game against Stockport. Both then went on to play huge parts in the season."

The City players have already been told that pre-season training starts in the first week of July with the Premiership season set to get underway on August 19.

Jewell and chairman Geo-ffrey Richmond held their first planning meeting the morning after the triumph over Liverpool.

And the City boss admits a lot of decisions have to be taken in the coming weeks.

He said: "We have already had some discussions but we still have to sit down and make a lot of decisions.

"There are decisions over certain players to be made. It is going to be a very tough Premiership next season and probably harder than the season just finished.

"It was clear from day one that Watford would struggle but the same cannot be said for Manch-ester City and Charlton.

"The likes of Barnsley or Ipswich will also be strong."
