Days before he was due to travel to Bradford, Ronald Vitty, 23, a full-back with Bradford City, slipped near his home in Boldon Colliery and fractured his leg. Vitty, youngest of a family of three fooballing brothers, was signed by City from Hartlepool United earlier this month and was due to leave for Bradford on Sunday. Now his injury looks like keeping him out of the game for about eight months.
