Reigning world trials champion Dougie Lampkin stormed to a convincing victory in the Mackenzie Trophy trial, staged by the Yeadon & Guiseley MC at Addingham Moorside, and wrapped up his sixth domestic title in seven years.

Silsden-based Lampkin and his cousin James scored maximum points by winning their respective classes.

Dougie destroyed the championship class losing just three penalties on the rocky hillside course - 30 penalties fewer than Radson team mate Sam Connor.

Even tough Spanish teenager Adam Raga wilted in the sunshine and experienced Steve Colley fared little better on his Team Tarres Gas Gas.

Best of the other Yorkshire riders were Ben Hemingway and Martin Crosswaite who were fifth and sixth while Dan Clark got his new Scorpa into seventh place to collect nine championship points.

James Lampkin made it a family double by winning the Expert class from cousin Dan Hemingway
