Oakworth's march to the Division One league and cup double continues unabated.

They beat fourth-placed Pendle Forest at home, the visitors finding runs hard to come by though a swashbuckling 35 by Phil Swarbrick lifted them to 142.

Graham Rankin bowled a tight line to finish with four for 32, supported by Jeff Inman who took three for 20 with his leg spinners.

Oakworth batsman Lee Hollingworth scored a match winning 81 not out. He and Robert Hopkinson (46no) put on 107 for the third wicket as Oakworth sealed their eight-wicket win.

Second-placed Thornton en-countered few problems at next- to-bottom Barrowford. The visitors built on the platform from openers David Harrison (68) and Kevin Pollard (35) to take their score to 185.

Then Mark Paxton (6-24) and Stephen Lodge (3-26) ripped the heart out of Barrowford as they were bowled out for 58.

Third-placed Embsay were not firing on all cylinders at Sutton, but managed to win. Embsay struggled to 140 for six with Zufar Iqbal making 45 and Edward Tiffany 41 as Justin Holdsworth took all six wickets for 56.

The home side were going reasonably well at 89 for three, but collapsed to 100 all out.

Long Lee jumped into fourth place after their 32-run win over visitors Haworth. Paul Wilkinson scored 52, James Wilkinson 46 and Jan Haider 44 not out in a total of 214 for six.

Haworth made a valiant effort to reach their target but fell short thanks to Matthew Taylor who took five for 36.

Bradley were restricted to 130 at Skipton CI, Shaun Williamson taking seven for 58. But that proved enough to beat the Skipton side who were bowled out for 120.

Cowling kept visitors Carleton down to 158 for eight, Steve Carling making 71, then skipper Steve Mitchell guided his side to five-wicket win with 90 not out.

Haworth WE look a good bet for promotion from Division Two after a nine-wicket win at J Nelsons. They dismissed Nelsons for a paltry 20 with Jason Bilbrough taking seven for seven including a hat-trick.

Second-placed Denholme suffered their fourth defeat of the season at home to Gargrave.

Ernie Moorhouse scored 102 not out as Gargrave totalled 201 for six. Denholme were then dismissed for 160 with Chris Flood taking five for 36 and Rod Moon five for 50. Only their skipper, opening batsman David Wear offered much resistance with 69.

Ingrow St Johns narrowed the gap to two points behind Denholme after they beat Cononley at home by 67 runs. St Johns scored only 129, but bowled out the visitors for 62. Colin Bottomley had a great all-round performance for the winners, scoring 48 and taking five for 23.

There was a run feast at Glusburn where visitors Chatburn scored a formidable 265 for five, but the ten-man home team roared back to snatch the points by five wickets with Darren Ideson scoring 107.

Matthew Cox made a brilliant 152 not out as Airedale made 240 for one at Keighley TC. He shared an opening stand of 223 with Phil Loftus (62) and then the Tech were all out for 70, Ben Guest taking seven for 29.
