From the Telegraph & Argus of November 2nd, 1975... A requiem mass, the first held at Undercliffe Cemetery, Bradford, was celebrated on All Souls Day. The Reverend J Burns, priest at St Clare's Church, Fagley, planned to hold an outdoor mass annually. The event was well attended.
From the Telegraph & Argus of November 2nd, 1950... Homes in Carlton Street and Tumbling Hill Street, Bradford, were to be destroyed as part of a slum clearance scheme. The Bradford Corporation Health Committee decided to ask the City Council to carry out the work. It was judged the houses were in disrepair, or had sanitary defects, and the streets were narrow and poorly arranged. Houses fit for habitation would be excluded.
