Owners of the Heather Cottage tea rooms in Haworth have branched out and are now offering customers something to read while enjoying a bite to eat. Trevor Craven and Paul Brooks, who have been running the Main Street tea room for over two years, have opened a newsagent by splitting their premises in two. Mr Brooks, who is also parish council chairman, says: "There's a need for another newsagent in the village as the only other one is on Mill Hey. It's just nice to be offering a service."
Since the opening last Sunday the tearoom continues to operate as normal and the newsagents is open from around 6.30am until 5.30pm.
Mr Brooks, who also works as a signalman in Leeds, says his new business venture also offers paper deliveries in the village. For more information call 644511.
