A packed programme of events is planned as Haworth launches a glittering build-up to Christmas.
The village -- which has developed a glowing national reputation for its festive activities -- kicks off this year on November 18 with seasonal music, morris dancing and a jazz band.
And the following day sees the popular Scroggling the Holly ceremony (1.45pm start) when children in Victorian costume walk in procession up Main Street, and the Holly Queen is crowned.
Entertainment that day will also be provided by Haworth Band, Oakworth Morris Dancers and a town crier. Santa will make the first of his regular pre-Christmas appearances in the village.
A Pipes, Bows and Bells weekend is planned for November 25-26, when Bradford Pipe Band and the Drighlington Band will be among the performers, and another Masquerade weekend -- which proved hugely successful last year -- takes place the following weekend.
A highlight of the festive countdown will be the famous torchlight procession, which this year is being staged on December 10. The procession will depart from the bottom of Main Street at around 5.15pm.
