Heavyweight Jack Taylor could be the toast of Hollywood - and the scourge of movie star Jackie Chan.

The 50-stone giant re-vealed details of an unlikely film role as he re-acquainted himself with the outside world for the second time in 25 years yesterday.

Jack, driven the 100 yards from his home in Sedgwick Close to a tailor's shop in Westgate, Bradford, has become a celebrity since the Telegraph & Argus revealed his unusual life.

The tale of a man who had become so self-conscious about his weight attracted seven German television channels and numerous national newspapers to Bradford to speak to him, but a fondness for martial arts films could persuade him to travel.

Speaking at Raymond Lister Tailor's in Westgate, where he was choosing cloth for a new set of 71in waist trousers, he said: "When The Big Breakfast found out Jackie Chan was my hero they asked if they could contact him on my behalf about appearing in one of his films.

"Now a role is being talked about where I pick him up and lift him off his feet, and if they say Jackie Chan wants me I'll go, I'd like to meet the lad.

"It would mean going to Amer-ica though, and I've never flown on a plane before."

Long-term friend and tailor, Raymond Lister said: "We have other large gentlemen but without a doubt Jack's our biggest customer."

Jack is committed to continuing his journey back into the social world, if only for the sake of his girl-friend, Joan. "I haven't taken her out for seven years so I am determined to make it up to her," he said.
