DYNAMIC Dance is an exciting new weekend dance event for anyone interested in dance and dance music.

It will take place in Ilkley on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19.

Yorkshire Dales Workshops have organised workshops throughout both days where participants can learn new skills and extend old ones in a range of folk dance and playing or singing for dances.

Raymond Otto from Soweto, right, will be leading a number of workshops during the weekend, including South African Music and Drumming.

Yannick Minvielle-Debat teaches French and Breton style dance and the Flag and Bone Gang will be running a workshop on a very different style of East Yorkshire dance.

In addition, the weekend includes opportunities to sample music hall, step dance, morris, country dance and Appalachian dances.

The Dynamic Dance weekend

features a host of outstanding dancers and musicians, all of whom have performed and taught an international festivals and events both in this country and abroad.

The weekend culminates in a dance performance on Sunday night when the Scottish Step Dance Company headline a Dance Spectacular.
