THIEVES who gained access to a house on Wheatley Road, Ilkley, through the ground floor window, swiped car keys and made off with a blue four-wheel drive Land Cruiser. As the occupants of the house slept, the thieves also took a mobile phone and a black leather wallet containing credit cards and £75 in cash, during the incident on Sunday night.

THIEVES broke into a secure building site in Burley-in-Wharfedale and made off with £1300 worth of equipment. The incident occurred at Burley Developments on Moor Lane, last Monday night.

MORE than £150 in cash was taken during a break-in at an Ilkley sandwich shop. Thieves broke into The Loafer, on Station Road, overnight last Tuesday.

TWO Ford Transit vans parked on East Parade, in Ilkley, were vandalised at the weekend. One had a windscreen smashed and windscreen wipers were pulled off the other, together causing £130 worth of damage.

THERE was an attempted break-in at a house on Tivoli Place, Ilkley, on Friday night. Occupants discovered a ground floor door had been unsuccessfully chiselled the next morning.

A BROKEN down dumper truck parked on Ilkley Road, Burley-in-Wharfedale, was stolen on Friday night.

OVER £1120 worth of perfume was taken from Boots, on Brook Street, Ilkley, during a raid on Sunday night. Two people were seen on CCTV entering the shop after smashing a window and causing £200 worth of damage.

A MAN who parked up in Ilkley's central car park for five minutes on Sunday afternoon returned to find a £2500 red mountain bike had been pinched from the roof rack.

A SUBSTANTIAL amount of jewellery was taken during a burglary at a house on St Philips Way, in Burley, after thieves got in via a ground floor window. Some of the jewellery was recovered by police following the incident on Sunday night.

A GREEN Isuzu Trooper car was pinched from outside Ben Rhydding Hockey Club, on Coutances Way, on Monday night between 8pm and 9pm.

THIEVES who forced their way into a garage on Windermere Avenue, Menston, on Monday night, left empty-handed.

TWO 12-year-old boys were arrested and charged with theft from a motor vehicle after taking a mobile phone from a car parked on Cleasby Road, Menston on Monday night.

A MAN who claimed he was looking for a job at Cutler's Brasserie, in Burley, ran off with an employee's handbag. The thief, who was described as stocky, white, in his late 30s or early 40s and with short dark hair, asked staff to get him an application form and then made off with the bag. The incident occurred at 8.25pm on Tuesday.

A heavy antique bench worth £1000 was stolen from outside the Hermit pub in Menston on Thursday night.
