Discussion and debate were the order of the day when a major political figure from Bangladesh paid a visit to a Keighley organisation.
Bangladeshi MP Shah Azizur Rahman, who represents the Sylhet region of the country, visited the Bangladeshi Community Association on Sunday.
During his visit to the association's Shurma Building, in Kensington Street, he met members of the local Bangladeshi community and answered their questions.
Advice worker Abdul Motin says: "We were very honoured and very fortunate to have him visit us as he had a busy schedule, including meetings with MPs in Westminster.
"Mr Rahman is based in Vishwanath, which is where most of the Bangladeshi community in Keighley originate from, so there was obviously lots of interest in what he had to say. He was surprised by the multi-cultural nature of Keighley and the opportunities we've got as a community centre.
"Questions were put to him about developments in Bangladesh and there was plenty of good, and occasionally heated debate.
During his tour of the region Mr Rahman also travelled to Bradford to meet with local political figures.
