Variety FM, one of the contenders for the last FM radio licence in Yorkshire, has teamed up with Bradford City to jointly sponsor the Bantams' game against Everton tomorrow. Jeff Stephenson, radio executive for Variety's owners the Guardian Media Group, said: "We're looking forward to the game with Everton and to cheering Bradford on in their second season of the Premier League as well as presenting our plans to some of the region's leading business people." If successful in its bid for the Yorkshire licence, it plans to begin broadcasting by the start of 2002.
