A plea that parents of Girl Guides should help dispel any idea among the public that the movement is military was made at Bradford today by Mrs C S Clewer, Akela of the local cub movement. She said: "If trouble comes to England in the future, many girls will volunteer for
service. But they will go for the love of their country, not because they are Girl Guides".
