Bradford City striker Isaiah Rankin has turned down three loan moves to First Division clubs in the last 48 hours.
Norwich City, Nottingham Forest and Port Vale inquired about taking him, but Rankin refused. He has also turned down Second Division club Stoke City.
The 22-year-old, who cost City a then-club record £1.3 million when he joined them from Arsenal more than two years ago, returned to Valley Parade four weeks ago from a three-month loan spell at Bolton. He spent a two-month loan at Birmingham City last season.
Manager Jim Jefferies said: "Isaiah doesn't want to go on loan to anywhere else. He feels he doesn't get any benefit from it.
"But if someone came in with an offer of a permanent transfer that might be different."
Rankin struggled to command a regular place in the side during his first two seasons at Valley Parade and his chances are limited now with Stan Collymore, Benito Carb-one, Ashley Ward, Dean Windass, Dean Saunders and Robbie Blake in contention for striking positions.
