Police are hunting a shoplifter who fled from Shipley's Asda supermarket following a struggle with a store detective who spotted him stealing bottles of liqueur.
The thief took two bottles of liqueur and was then seen by the detective when he returned and took two more bottles of the same drink out of the store without paying for them.
The man then came back for a third time, taking two more bottles but was stopped in the foyer.
Following a struggle, the man made off, dropping the bottles and leaving the detective clutching his right trainer and jumper.
The suspect is described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s and 5ft 10in with thick, mousey brown hair, with a centre parting and shaved at the back and sides.
He was wearing a blue jacket with white stripes down the sleeves, a blue jumper with light horizontal stripes on the chest, and dirty Reebok trainers.
Anyone with any information about the theft should call Shipley police on (01274) 537459 Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
