Hearts have given Bradford City the green light to go back for Gary Locke.

Boss Jim Jefferies indicated he was happy to wait until the summer when the 25-year-old wing-back is out of contract after a £30,000 bid was rejected before Christmas.

Hearts turned it down because they were short of cover on the right side of defence. But with their injury list improving, head coach Craig Levein today admitted he would not block another move.

Levein said: "There has been no more contact from Bradford as yet, but we would not stand in Gary's way if there was.

"Jim made the original offer of £30,000 at a time when we were struggling for players and I could not let him go.

"Gary knows it was a footballing decision which prevented him leaving. If a silly offer had been made, then it would have been a different matter.

"But with our injury situation now easing I would be happy to help him out because he has been a great servant to Hearts.

"And his agent has made it clear he will be leaving in the summer."
