A boy of 14 has been cleared of trying to have sex with an 11-year-old girl.
A Bradford Crown Court jury heard the Keighley teenager allegedly pinned the girl down on a bed and put her hands behind her back.
But after a three-day trial, he was found not guilty of attempted rape. He was also cleared of an alternative charge of indecent assault. The court was told the girl - who cannot be identified for legal reasons - believed he was playing a game with her at first.
But when she realised what he was allegedly trying to do, she told him it was wrong because she was younger than him.
Prosecutor David Gordon told the jury that the girl had kept what had happened a secret for two months before the matter came to light.
Giving evidence via a video link, she said that when she asked him what game he was playing he replied: "Wait and you will find out.''
She said she felt scared and worried, telling him that what he was doing was wrong.
The boy - who also cannot be identified for legal reasons - was later interviewed by police.
He said nothing had taken place at all, claiming the allegation against him was made up.
