After a long mid-season break Guiseley Gremlins Under-14s got back to winning ways at Cowling with a comfortable Craven League win. The scoreline did not flatter the Gremlins and they could have scored more but for some great goalkeeping.

Chris Davey opened the scoring when he collected the ball on the edge of the area and lifted it over the 'keeper. Andy Simmonds grabbed the second courtesy of a pass from Lewis Blakey and a neat step over by Davey. A great run from Blakey then won a corner from which Will Stubbs converted with a volley.

In the second-half some excellent work by the Cowling 'keeper threatened to keep the score down but having saved a Tom Stephenson shot he was dismayed to see the rebound fall back at the striker's feet and there was no mistake with the second attempt. Joe Roper put Simmonds through for his second goal and Chris Napoli finished the scoring with Guiseley's sixth.

This was a very competent and capable performance which will warm the team up nicely for Sunday's encounter with Shipley.
