City chairman Geoffrey Richmond has admittted that any further expansion of Valley Parade will depend on the support of the fans.
In announcing £30 compensation for season ticket holders in the Sunwin Stand who have been without a roof because of building work when they renew for next year, Richmond admitted the club would take stock before embarking on the next stage of ground expansion.
Richmond said: "There are more plans in existence, but future developments will be put on hold until such time as we are satisfied that the demand exists.
"Having said that, each time the ground capacity has been increased the demand has been there. New facilities create a new level of interest.
"Let us hope we can quickly justify the need for a further expansion."
The latest work will bring the capacity at Valley Parade up to 25,000.
