Birkenshaw will be hoping to get their second round League Express National Cup tie under way at New Earswick All Blacks following last week's postponement.

They are at full strength and have the added incentive of a home match against local rivals Dudley Hill if they can cause an upset against the York National conference Division Two outfit.

In the third round Victoria Rangers are at Pennine League colleagues Westgate Redoubt. The Vics have a good chance of upsetting the apple cart bearing in mind that the Wakefield side has struggled all season in the lower reaches of the Premier Division.

Queensbury return to league action following their cup exploits at home to Park Amateurs. Bury will move into second spot just one point behind leaders Birkenshaw with games in hand if, as expected, they take the spoils.

There looks to be a gigantic struggle in prospect at Rawdon Meadows between the Division One bottom two Undercliffe and Keighley Town with both sides looking for their first win of the season.

Runaway Division Two leaders West Bowling A looked a little frayed around the edges at times last week and they will have to pull out all the stops to make it ten wins on the trot against Todmorden at Bankfoot CC. Dudley Hill Eagles will play Wyke in what could be a relegation decider at Parry Lane.

Division Three promotion chasing Queensbury A will have a great chance to leapfrog over neighbours Ovenden on their travels but West Bowling B must produce something out of the hat if they are to trouble unbeaten Division Four pacesetters Silsden Park Rangers at Emsley's Rec.
