Elderly residents at a Birkenshaw care home are being moved to alternative premises.
They have been moving out of Threelands Grange in Mill Lane for the last six weeks after Kirklees Council decided in October to close the home.
The Council said the home would not meet future standards set by the Government because residents shared bedrooms.
Birkenshaw councillor Robert Light said: "There are only a few residents in the home and the building has to be empty by the end of March."
Coun Light said he hoped the building would be used to run services for elderly people.
