Harry Peacock, one of the best-known personalities from Keighley's political past, has died aged 83.
Former Labour group leader Harry and his wife Mary had lived in Stratford for the last two years with their daughter Julia.
Harry was planning chairman during the 1960s when the old Keighley Council approved plans for massive redevelopment of Keighley town centre.
He was a renowned battler for his adopted town and was involved in the efforts to build a civic centre.
