Albion & Bingley Under-16's reached the semi-final of the West Riding Youth cup with an 18-0 victory over Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks.

Cubs Under-12's beat Milnrow Newhey 34-0 in the quarter-final of the league cup. The game was not as one-sided as the score suggests with the win was based on a great defensive display which allowed the backs to use their pace and skill. Tries were evenly shared out among the backs special mention must go to Richard Barr, Ben Carley, David Goodings, Harris Ismail who played despite being under the weather.

Cougar Cubs under-17s defied the terrible weather as they outclassed Hoyland Vikings in a 50-6 win. Star Man Tom Holland, scoring four tries with others by Kelly, Davies, Sharpe, Cullen and West, Cullen kicking four goals. The under 17's entertain Royds at home on Sunday at Utley (11am).

Cougar cubs Under-17's slipped to defeat when they were beaten 32-6 by Hoyland Vikings in the West Riding Under-17 Premier Division.

Cubs Under-13's were beaten 24-6 by Wibsey Juniors but the Cubs All Stars beat Hoyland 18-0 in Division One.

The previous week the Cubs Under-13's put in a stunning display to beat Deighton 24-4 in the West Riding Youth Cup Quarter Final.

The Cubs were really sharp from the kick off and with tries for full-back Keith Shackleton and stand-off Peter Gower with one conversion by Kristian Stell the score at the break then was 10-4 to the Cubs.

Into the second half and that man Shackleton once again forced his way up field after five minutes to extend the lead to ten points. Another towering performance by Allister Brown was capped with a well-taken try and with less than five minutes to go Gower once again powered over after looking to pass, when the hole opened up in front of him. The game was well and truly safe with the Cubs claiming a classic victory.
