chris leeming recently swept to victory in the northern rally championship.
The Haworth garage owner piloted his Mk2 Ford Escort to success in the Association of Northern Car Clubs 'Kent Cams' Championship. He was the most consistent driver throughout the series of events.
He also had four class wins and a string of top 10 finishes tosecure the overall title.
Chris' co-driver, Raymond Guy, also came close to taking the navigator's championship. He only needed to finish in the Stages Rally at Catterick but the Escort suffered a rare failure after just 1 miles pushing him back to third place overall.
The heavily modified Escort was fitted with a 2litre Vauxhall engine for the championship.
Chris' wife Lorraine was fourth in the same championship driving her Mk1 Escort together with navigator Karen Fitzsimons. They also won both their class and the ladies award int he competition.
The husband and wife rally team came home with a haul of 13 trophies from the association's presentation evening.
