Sally Wilson, from Silsden, takes her first step on the road to success when she performs on national television.
Sally, 17, will appear today on the BBC 1 children's talent show Steps II The Stars, at 4.35pm. She will sing the classic song from The Wizard of Oz, Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
The show is presented by Claire and H from the chart-topping band, Steps. She is among 28 acts appearing in the series from an initial 3,000 hopefuls.
A show spokesman said: "At the end of each show, viewers at home are invited to phone in and vote for their favourite act and the winning act from each week secures a place in the grand final."
The overall series winner will appear on Alive and Kicking, the BBC children's show and will spend a day with Steps.
