A Burley brasserie has been shortlisted for a Catey - the catering industry equivalent of an Oscar.
Cutlers Bar and Brasserie in Burley in Wharfedale opened less than two years ago and has been nominated as Newcomer of the Year.
Now staff and customers must wait until the Awards Ceremony in July to hear whether Cutlers has achieved this prestigious award.
Chef-owner Rick Hodgson said: "I have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years so to be shortlisted for a newcomer award at this stage in my career does have its funny side!"
This is the second piece of good news for Cutlers this week - the Harrogate Cutlers which incorporates a 19-bedroom hotel - is to be included in the Good Hotel Guide 2002.
