Robbie Blake waved his goodbyes to Bradford City and then tipped his old team-mates to come good again.

Blake, left, who completed his £1m move to Burnley yesterday, is backing City to turn their fortunes round.

He said: "It's been a difficult season for everyone at the club. But when you look round the changing-room and see the quality of the players, you know things are going to get a lot better.

"They are a good set of lads and I'm sure they have the ability to bounce back from the recent disappointments."

Blake is back in light training after damaging a stomach muscle in the FA Cup defeat at Walsall. And he could make his Burnley debut against West Brom next Sunday.

"It would be a big game to start with both sides going so well and that's what I'm aiming at. It's great to be joining a team in the top five with everything to play for.

"We're playing Bradford on February 19 and it will be nice to play against my old mates. I've a lot of good memories from my time at Valley Parade and it was sad to go. But I felt I needed a change and I'm raring to go now for Burnley."
