Yorkshire actors perform the 'Scottish play' in Skipton and Halifax this month.
Shakespeare's blood-soaked tragedy Macbeth is brought to the stage in accessible style by Northern Broadsides.
The "fast-paced, high-energy" production aims to portray the raw power and high drama of the play.
The story follows a Scots clansman as, following the prophecy of three witches and plotting with his ambitious wife, he murders his way to the throne.
Barrie Rutter again directs the company, with a cast of 15 northern actors speaking in their natural voices.
Macbeth is staged at Dean Clough, Halifax, on March 14-23 (phone 01422 255266) and Skipton Auction Mart on March 29/30 (phone 01756 792809).
