The children of Cononley School have planted daffodils for the Marie Curie Field of hope appeal.
The daffodils were supplied by Brian Curran who is the fund organiser for the Marie Curie Field of Hope Appeal
Head Glenys Lofthouse said: "Brian Curran rang and said that he had a donation. The year six children will put on a talent show to raise funds for the appeal.
"Normally the bulbs are given after the fund raising but, because of the time of year, it has been done the other way around.
"The children have planted about four or five bulbs each which is some 500 bulbs in total.
"We won't have a field of hope this year but I'm sure by next year all the flowers will be out."
