Phoenix booked their place in the semi-finals of the Premier Division Cup with an emphatic victory over Otley Town.

Phoenix dominated the match from the kick off, producing some excellent football on a very bumpy pitch. The early pressure paid off when Jimmy Spencer finished from the edge of the box after some great approach play between Ben McCormack and Steve Bland.

Danny Spencer made it 2-0 before the interval, Paul Linyard's long throw found Steve Thompson in the middle of the park whose peach of a long range pass found Spencer charging down the left wing to blast the ball home.

Otley started the brightest in the second half and had a couple of half chances but none that really troubled the Phoenix defence. Jimmy Spencer grabbed his second and Phoenix's third goal as he coolly slotted home from close range.

With time running out for the home side, they made a last-gasp substitution and added an extra man up front. While they were stretched Jimmy Spencer's trickery on the right wing, found Danny Spencer who headed home at the far post to seal the 4-1 victory.

Keighley Shamrocks kept up their chase for promotion to the Premier Division with a 3-1 victory over Farnley.

They have games in hand on league leaders Bay Athletic, and proved they have the ability to gain promotion with an impressive performance on a bumpy pitch.

Paul Driver put them ahead and they continued to push forward after the home side equalised. Shammies got their reward when Steve Duckworth snapped up the second goal as the ball bobbled about in the goal mouth. Farnley had a couple of chances but found the Shamrocks defence hard to break down while the midfield worked tirelessly.

Driver made the game safe when he smashed home a great shot to make it 3-1 and keep his team on track with the leaders in the first division.
