Super League loan signing Craig Stanley will makes his Cougar debut on Sunday.

The winger, borrowed from a month from Leeds Rhinos as part of the new link between the clubs, comes in for the injured Karl Smith.

Smith landed on the ball in the dying minutes of last week's sensational victory over Barrow, sustaining bruising to his ribs.

This hands 18-year-old Stanley his debut as the Cougars go for win number three on the spin.

There are no other injury concerns for coach Gary Moorby, who will be looking for a repeat of the performance that saw his side comeback from a half-time deficit to record a victory.

Ashton, whose match-winning appearance from the bench sparked the win, will once again miss out on a start, with Moorby preferring to use him an impact player.

"Winning three in a row is what it is all about," said Moorby.

"The sequence of three is the magic number and that will mean we are on a roll.

"So we will be looking for that win against Batley - and there is no reason why we can't get that.

"There were so many positives from that game and so many goals achieved, I feel that we can take the game to Batley.

"But we are still the underdogs and that is always a good thing for us."

Battle-weary Batley will want to bounce back from the good hiding they had last weekend, but coach Paul Storey may need to make wholesale changes to find the right formula.

That under-performance against Featherstone was a big disappointment for Storey, who is expected to have Dean Lawford ready to return from injury.

But it may be debatable which other action Storey will take if his plans fail again this weekend against a side that is starting to put their game together.
