Big-hearted fundraisers at a Bradford company had a hair-raising time collecting £2,000 to help new-born babies.

Staff and volunteers at Fitness Finesse at Horton Bank Top took part in a sponsored leg wax and head shave in aid of the special care baby unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The stunt had one difference - only the men were allowed to take part in the leg waxing!

The wacky fundraisers managed to raise £2,000 in just one evening.

"We're absolutely delighted with the amount raised," said organiser Victoria Lamb.

"The special care baby unit is something very close to our hearts and we just wanted to do our bit.

"Everyone who took part was a great sport."Pictured are beauticians Tracy Wadsworth, left, and Alison Green who are about to tangle with Nigel Anderson.
