Farsley Celtic 2, Ossett Town 5 - Farsley Celtic are still desperately looking for the ten points that will secure their future in the UniBond Division One after slumping to their 14th defeat of the campaign on Saturday.

Ian Blackstone signed off in style with both his side's goals but that will only make his departure hit home even harder.

Celtic were hoping to extend his loan period but the player's club, leaders Harrogate Town, insisted on his return.

Celtic boss Martin Haresign said: "Belper beat Stocksbridge so teams below us are taking points form one another but we need to get three or four wins to be safe.

"It's there for us because we have 12 games left and most of them are at home but it has to come quickly because we don't want to the same struggle as we had last season."

Fourth-placed Town were always likely to take the points from this West Yorkshire derby but Haresign must have been dismayed by the ease with which they rattled in five goals.

Blackstone put his side in front after just nine minutes when he raced through to take possession from a defensive error and drove in a fierce shot from just outside the area.

Former Celt and Leeds United youth Matt Smithard then helped put the skids under his old club.

It was his free kick that ex-Park Avenue striker Weal Nazha headed home in the 15th minute and it was Smithard himself who put Town into a 19th minute lead.

Blackstone hit back to see Celtic going into the break on level terms, his pace took him clear to reach a threaded through ball and he netted a rocket shot form the edge of the area.

With the strong wind at their backs in the second half Town went on to dominate possession and finished the few chances they created with unerring accuracy.

Paul Sykes netted in the 54th minute to put Town back in front, Carl Fothergill stretched that lead to 4-2 in the 68th minute and ten minutes later Chris Beaumont wrapped up proceedings.
