Paul Gascoigne will head a star-studded Rangers cast at Valley Parade for Stuart McCall's testimonial next month.

Gazza has agreed to strut his stuff when the record-breaking Ibrox side of the late 1980s and 1990s provide the opposition to a Bradford City team.

McCall is anticipating a bumper crowd for the game on Sunday, April 28 which will feature many of the players who helped Rangers to nine successive Scottish titles.

McCall, who won six in a row, said: "It's being sorted out by John Brown, a former Rangers team-mate of mine, and he's getting a lot of the lads who were in that record side.

"Brian Laudrup is coming back over and Gazza will play as well as Ally McCoist, Andy Goram, Ray Wilkins and Graham Roberts.

"Walter Smith has agreed to manage the team providing Everton's game against Blackburn the day before isn't switched for TV.

"The problem has been sorting out a date. I could have had a midweek game but that's unfair to kids and I want to make it a family day.

"Sunday is ideal although unfortunately it's play-off week so people like Peter Beagrie, Darren Moore, Lee Mills and Robbie Blake may not be available. But there's going to be a few of the lads from the Bradford promotion teams in 1985 and 1998 and with the Rangers side coming down, hopefully it should be a great occasion.

"I've given 12 years service to Bradford and I'm grateful to the club for granting me this."

The match, which kicks off at 3pm, will be £10 for adults and £5 for juniors payable on the gate. Subject to police approval, Rangers are using the whole Ciba Stand with the Symphony Stand closed.
