Scott Naylor is rated only 50-50 to make his return for Bradford Bulls a week on Sunday at Widnes.
The England international centre played in both the World Club Challenge victory over the Newcastle Knights and the Challenge Cup defeat against Leeds Rhinos, but has missed both the Tetley's Super League fixtures so far with hamstring trouble.
Bulls coach Brian Noble said: "Scott is 50-50 for the Widnes game, but Lesley Vainikolo probably won't make it with his hamstring problems.
"However, there is a good chance he will be OK for the home game against Hull on Thursday, March 28."
Noble added: "Daniel Gartner has sore ribs, but he should be OK for the Widnes match."
The Great Britain assistant coach continued: "After the way Widnes played in their home debut against St Helens, we are rightly treating it as a very tough contest.
"But at least having this weekend off because of the Challenge Cup means we can focus on getting our injured players right."
