Next year he could be organising Wakefield's pre-match entertainment, but this weekend Bulls operation manager Ryan Duckett will attempt to heap misery upon the West Yorkshire club.

Duckett's Otley take on Wakefield tomorrow in National Division One, the team who have signed a deal linking them to Bradford.

The Bulls' employee, who has always been a keen union man despite his day job, is hoping to retain his position at full-back where he played in last week's hammering against Worcester.

Rugby union has always been a game to play for him, with league the one to watch.

But an injury crisis got him into the Bulls 'A' team last season, and then he stayed out on the wing.

"I would have loved to play professional rugby league but my chance never came," said Duckett. "When I got to 18 or 19 no-one came in for me so I went for working for the Bulls instead, it is the next best thing.

"I suppose if a severe plague hit the club I might get a go in Super League, but I think I will have to stick to union."

Keighley still have front-row problems for their home Yorkshire Division Two match against Huddersfield YMCA.

The hosts are again lacking Rob Riley, and have doubts over Paul Sinfield and John Duffy. Kevin Young starts in the centre, relegating Martin Harrison to the bench.

Wibsey continue their Yorkshire Division Six promotion push with a home game against Walkington Rovers.

The East Yorkshire team have had difficulty recently in maintaining their away fixtures, failing to raise a team against Pontefract Pythons and Garforth.

Wibsey are praying that their visitors can muster a full XV in order to avenge a mauling at Walkington in the first league game of the season.

The visitors have already contacted Wibsey to say they will be attending tomorrow, but their injury list is longer than Bradford City's!

Wibsey hope to play the match at their first-choice ground - Northfield Road, where arrangements are in hand to buy and lay another 100 tonnes of topsoil at the end of the season following long-term drainage problems.

Wharfedale start a run of three home games on the spin with the visit of Cumbrians Kendal. The National League Two side are hoping to improve on last year's sixth place finish but have some tough games ahead.

In North East Two, Cleckheaton visit Huddersfield YMCA while the Bees welcome St Helen's in North Division One.

In Yorkshire Three, Bradford Salem entertain Roundhegians and in Yorkshire Four Baildon travel to Mosborough.
