Bradford College, the largest in West Yorkshire, has gained the Investors In People title.
The title was gained after it completed its 18 month action plan to gain accreditation.
Bradford College, which employs 2,000 staff, had to submit its bid for the title in sections because of its immense size.
Four teaching and service departments initially volunteered for assessment - which was recognised in January 2001. The remaining nine teaching departments were assessed collectively and gained IiP recognition in March 2001.
The other 16 central service departments then gained IiP recognition in July 2001.
The college then underwent a review to confirm that all of its departments were meeting IiP standards.
This was completed at the end of January 2002 when senior and middle managers were interviewed.
The IiP Assessor had "no hesitation in recommending recognition" and her feedback said: "Bradford College was one of the best colleges she had assessed."
In total over 200 of the College's staff were interviewed over the 18 month period.
