A group of former am-dram performers got together for an impromptu sing as part of a charity concert in a pub.
Ten years later and the Oxnop Singers boast more than 30 members, an extensive repertoire and a proud track record.
They celebrate their anniversary with a concert on Sunday at 7.15pm in their home, Oxenhope Community Centre.
The programme includes new additions to the repertoire like Verdi's Speed the Night and Phantom of the Opera song Music of the Night.
There will also be long-time choir favourites like Gilbert and Sullivan, When The Saints Go Marching In and New York New York.
Nowadays the Oxnop Singers still draw most of their members from the village, with "offcumdens" living only as far away as Haworth, Cross Roads or Denholme.
Jack Cowgill, who organised the original 1992 concert at the Lamb Inn with wife Winnie, is still the conductor. He and the choir will take the stage alongside their guests, the Elland Silver Band Ensemble, returning after a well-received concert last year.
There are still a few tickets left for Sunday's performance, either from Waddington's newsagents in Oxenhope, or by phoning 01535 642508. The choir would welcome new members to rehearsals each Monday at 8pm in Oxenhope Community Centre.
