SHOULDER of Mutton turned the tables on Bocking Rangers whent they knocked them out of the Jeff Hall Cup.

Only seven days earlier Bocking had rattled up a 4-0 league victory, but this time is was Shoulder who had the edge with a powerful second half performance.

Graham Whittaker opened the scoring with the only goal of the first half, but Bocking were quick to reply after the re-start with Robert Andrews finding the back of the net. Although Shoulder looked to be taking command they struggled to find the killer blow until they hammered in three goals in the last 10 minutes. Whittaker was on target again and there were further goals for Gallagher and Chris Brookes.

In the League Midland were always in command of their clash with New Inn/Oaklea. Goals by Chris Fothergill and Steve Hinds put Midland firmly in control in the first half. New Inn tightened up at the back in the second period to deny Midland any further score, but they could not find the net themselves.

Keighley Unitd played host to Silsden Athletic in an exciting match despite a heavy pitch. United collected the three points after securing a 3-2 victory. United's scorers were S Lockley, Andy Feather and J Drake while both Silsden's goals came from the penalty spot.

District Cup games are due to be played this weekend with some league fixtures still to be arranged.
