A man pleaded guilty to an arson attack on his wife's home on Boxing Day.
Phillip Glennon, 44, admitted an offence of arson being reckless of whether life would be endangered when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court.
The court heard that Susan Glennon was out when the attack took place in Acton Street, Barkerend, Bradford.
Glennon, of Elsworth Avenue, Bradford Moor, was remanded in custody to await sentence and Judge Scott warned him that people who admitted this offence were usually jailed.
