A WHITE Westland Terrier dog called Bramble, from Otley, is revelling in her new-found stardom.

Bramble, from Caxton Road, won the chance to play the part of 'Toto' in an outdoor production of 'The Wizard of Oz' at Lotherton Hall near Leeds, which will be performed by second year students from the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts course at Park Lane College.

Bramble not only received £100 for performing in the ten afternoon shows during May, but also has her own dressing room/kennel with unlimited dog biscuits and drinks and two personal minders.

Head of Performing Arts at Park Lane College, Vivienne Razavilar, said: "Bramble is a very good natured dog and is coping very well with rehearsals. We're very pleased at how well she has settled in and become part of the cast."
