Police today repeated their advice to home owners to hide car keys in the house following another spate of car thefts in the Spen Valley.
At 2.50am on Sunday, a black VW Golf, registration T587 UUM, was stolen from outside a house in Gomersal Road, Six Lane Ends, Heckmondwike, after burglars broke in and took the car keys while the owners were asleep.
A gold Rover 25, registration W599 BJX, and a silver Peugeot 206, registration V274 NWH, were stolen from outside a house in Birkenshaw Lane, Birkenshaw, by three men at around 3.10am on Saturday after they snatched the keys. And a silver Audi Quattro was recovered in Prospect Lane, Birkenshaw, having been stolen from outside a house in The Beeches.
