Brandon Costin has been passed fit for Sunday's match at Castleford, but doubts whether he will be fit to play!

The 30-year-old stand-off or centre, who has missed the last seven matches with a broken left hand, admitted today: "I have been given the okay by club doctor Roger Brown twice - on Monday and yesterday morning.

"But I had to cut short my training session yesterday because I got a knock and it was too sore.

"My hand just doesn't feel right. I expected to come back and be perfect, but the soreness has just hung around."

Costin, who was part of the Bulls squad that lifted the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham last Saturday, added: "I can do weights and lift bars - I can seemingly do everything.

"I have been warned that little knocks will hurt, but then doing something simple like picking up a cup of tea will kill me.

"Strength-wise the hand is fine, but it is just different positions that the hand gets into that are the problem."

Costin, who has also missed matches this season with a rib injury, added: "There was no real problem at the Sevens because I knew there would be minimal contact, and it was good for my general fitness. I felt brilliant - fit and strong and fast - and I just expected things to continue going forwards, but my hand has gone into stalemate."
