Brian Noble isn't putting any money on the outcome of tonight's Tetley's Super League final eliminator.

The Bradford Bulls coach says the clash between St Helens and Wigan at Knowsley Road will be a thrilling encounter between two evenly-matched sides.

However, Noble, who is at the match as a studio guest of Sky Sports, admitted: "Both teams are capable of winning, but Saints go in as slight favourites because they are at home.

"St Helens were a bit scalded by their defeat against us last Saturday in the qualifying semi-final, but Wigan have got their troops back and have the hoodoo sign over Saints at the moment.

"You have to be a brave man to back against Wigan, but I am leaning slightly towards St Helens."

The winners tonight will take on Bradford in the Grand Final at Old Trafford a week tomorrow, but Noble doesn't mind who comes through.

"The final will take care of itself and we'll have to play well to win it," said the Great Britain assistant coach.

"The few days off we have had have done us the world of good because it not only refreshes you mentally, but also physically.

"Knock-out football can be desperation stakes so I am delighted that we have had two one-week breaks. It is a distinct advantage."

Saints believe the return to full fitness of Sean Long can tip the balance in their favour.

Long turned an ankle in the warm-up for last week's qualifying semi-final against Bradford, but had an influential role when he came on at half-time.
