Crigglestone All Blacks 20 Keighley Albion 13

Keighley Albion travelled to Wakefield to face Crigglestone All Blacks, following an optimistic start to the season. Beginning the game down the

slope, Keighley Albion started strong with excellent play from stand off Dean Brookes putting Craig Livock into a gap to score under the posts.

convincingly converted by Cullen. Just before half time, Dean Brookes added a drop goal to put Albion 13-0 in front at half time.

In the second half, Crigglestones game was lifted by an early try and conversion. Albion struggled to break out of their own half, with some poor refereeing decisions and a lack of discipline resulting in Crigglestone benefiting from some penalties. Crigglestone then scored a try in the corner, but Albion fought back and looked as if they may come back, until Parker and Hollins were sent off following some further puzzling decisions by the referee.

Crigglestone finished the game by kicking four penalty goals in the last ten minutes, taking the final score to 20-13.
