Killinghall Nomads 3

Addingham 4

With Addingham's Reserves being drawn at home in the cup, the league re-arranged this fixture to Killinghall, unfortunately the league forgot to tell them and they arrived in Addingham just as Addingham arrived at their ground. This meant another hours wait and another delayed kick-off.

Once under way Addingham soon began to take control, hampered by the swirling wind in their faces they still forced the plays and should have taken the lead when Perkins pulled back to Cummings but he dragged his low shot wide.

Nomads relied heavily on the long ball and aided by the wind took the lead on 15 minutes, Coleman tapping home after Dobson could only parry his first shot.

Largely outplayed up till this point Nomads grew in confidence and made it 2-0 just before the break when Page finished well after a swift counter attack.

Despite the deficit Addingham remained confident they had wasted good chances and the gaps Nomads left at the back could, with more composure be easily exploited.

Ten minutes into the second-half and Addingham started the comeback, Chlebo and Galasso switched positions and the impact was instant, the two interchanged passes before Chlebo slid a delightfull ball to Si Collins. He arrived right on cue to neatly tuck his shot past Riedle and halve the deficit

Back in his favoured central midfield role, Kennedy was back to his awesome best and he and Cummings were running the show as Addingham began to turn the screw in search of and equaliser. Mills played the ball out to T Marriot and his through ball was expertly controlled by Perkins. He held of his marker as he waited for the ball to settle then superbly finished to retore parity.

This was no more than Addingham deserved but they were not finished yet. With the wind now against them Killinghall could not get out of their own half and Addingham were now in full control. Si Collins cut back from the by-line and curled in a great cross. Despite the attentions of two defenders Perkins climbed first and highest and absolutely bulleted the header past the 'keeper.

Killinghall were now at sixes and sevens and they were there for the taking. Collins and Cummings both wasted chances to kill it.

With 15 minutes left Perkins completed a stunning hat-trick with a strike of supreme quality.

Galasso played him in down the right and as players looked to support, Perkins unleashed an absolute screamer from an acute angle.

Having overturned a 2-0 half time scoreline Addingham looked to play out the last five minutes in relative calm. Towers though upset the apple cart as he pulled one back for Killinghall with a wonder strike of his own. Killinghall threw men forward and could have snatched a point as Addingham switched off.

l On Saturday Addingham entertain Kirkby Malzeard. (Meet at 1-30pm).
