Keighley Army Cadets joined teams from throughout the north east of England for a major exercise at Catterick.
More than 400 young people from detachments in the region took part in the "Colts Canter", which included a five-mile march.
The youngsters' leadership and teamwork attributes were gauged with a problem-solving task, and map reading, first aid and marksmanship skills were tested. Army, Air Training Corps and combined cadets took part.
