An army of parents, grandparents, pupils and staff gave up an afternoon to spruce up their school.
The volunteers' hit squad joined together in a big effort to paint the fence around Cooper Lane Primary School in Horton Bank Top.
"They had become so frustrated by the condition of the fence that they wanted to do something about it as a matter of urgency," said head teacher John MacDonald.
About 30 people help with work, including clearing shrubs and tree branches, removing flaking paint and painting. Many agreed to return to finish the job.
"I would like to say thank you to all those who took part," Mr MacDonald said.
Dacralyte Paint, of Leeds Road, Bradford, provided the paint at a discount.
