A bus shelter has been awarded a top design award.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park's Interchange bus shelter in Grassington is the winner of the 2002 White Rose Small Project Award for Design Excellence.
Skipton architects, Wales, Wales and Rawson - and YDNP officers - received the award at a special ceremony at the Earth Centre in Doncaster. The competition is for schemes costing less than £100,000. It is awarded annually by the Royal Institute of British Architects' Yorkshire Region.
The shelter houses a glass interpretation panel about the local area, which was developed in partnership with Grassington residents and artists under the direction of Rick Faulkner and Christine Keogh, of the Art House, Gargrave.
Alan Hulme, a regional manager with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, said: "Credit must also go to the scheme's architects and to the residents of Grassington who helped inspire the design of the glasswork."
