Under-age drivers had the chance to get behind the wheel, safely, at Queensbury School.

The teenagers took a spin on a driving simulator which is on a tour of schools this week as part of a national roadshow.

The simulator, developed by the BSM driving school at a cost of more than £500,000, resembles a Vauxhall Corsa and provides a realistic driving experience.

Rookie drivers can learn about clutch control, gears, moving off and stopping before they even venture out on to a road.

"Learning to drive is a number one priority for most young people," said BSM roadshow manager Andy Brown.
